House Rules
Bed & Breakfast Ravelin (Binding part of the accommodation agreement in accordance with German law – BGB)
The following house rules form an integral and binding part of the accommodation contract between the guest and Bed & Breakfast Ravelin.
The guest is obliged to comply with these rules and ensure that fellow guests and visitors also adhere to them.
1. No Smoking
It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the rooms and all indoor areas of the accommodation. Smoking is only permitted on designated outdoor areas and must not cause any disturbance.
2. Ban on parties and gatherings
Organizing parties, events, commercial activities or other gatherings in the accommodation is explicitly prohibited.
3. Ban on drugs
The use, possession, production or trafficking of narcotics in contravention of the Narcotics Act (BtMG) is strictly forbidden within and around the accommodation.
4. Ban on prostitution and illegal activities
Offering or engaging in prostitution, escort services or other commercial sexual activities in the accommodation is explicitly prohibited. Similarly, all other activities that contravene applicable laws and regulations or pose a threat to public order and safety are also prohibited.
5. Quiet Hours and Noise Disturbance
Quiet hours apply from 23:00 to 06:00.
The guest is required to avoid any noise disturbance that may affect other guests or neighbors.
6. Check-in and check-out times
Check-in is only possible between 15:00 and 21:00 hours, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Check-out must take place by 11:00 hours at the latest.
7. Care Obligation
The guest is obliged to use the room, inventory, sanitary facilities and technical equipment with care and in accordance with their intended purpose. Any defects or damage must be reported immediately.
8. Serious breach of contract and immediate termination
A serious breach of contract includes, but is not limited to:
- Violation of the drug ban
- Violation of the prostitution ban
- Committing criminal offenses
- Intentional damage to property
- Severe or repeated disturbance
- Illegal or commercial use of the accommodation
In the event of a serious breach of contract, Bed & Breakfast Ravelin is entitled to terminate the accommodation agreement with immediate effect and without prior notice, deny access to the accommodation, withhold any prepaid amounts, and report the matter to the relevant authorities. Such termination does not entitle the guest to compensation.
Contractual fines (Vertragsstrafen)
A contractual fine is due in the event of the following breaches:
• Smoking ban violation: € 150.–
• Organizing parties or gatherings: € 250.–
• Severe or repeated disturbance of quiet hours: € 100.–
• Unagreed late check-out: € 25.– per hour started
These amounts serve as a forfaitary compensation for damage.
The guest retains the right, in accordance with § 309 no. 5 BGB, to demonstrate that no or significantly lower damage has occurred.
Bed & Breakfast Ravelin's right to claim higher actual damages remains reserved.
Full compensation for serious breach of contract
In the event of a serious breach of contract, the guest is obliged to compensate Bed & Breakfast Ravelin for all direct and indirect damage in accordance with § 280 BGB. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Repair and replacement costs
- Specialist cleaning and sanitation costs
- Lost revenue due to the room being unavailable
- Compensation for other guests
- Extra personnel costs
- Legal costs and costs of prosecution
- Costs arising from government measures
In addition to the right to claim higher damages, a minimum forfaitary compensation of € 500.– is due in the event of a serious breach of contract.
The guest retains the right to demonstrate that no or lower damage has occurred.
