General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
Bed & Breakfast Ravelin (In accordance with §§ 305–310 BGB – German law)
§1 Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all agreements regarding the temporary accommodation (Beherbergungsvertrag) between Bed & Breakfast Ravelin (hereinafter referred to as "accommodation") and the guest. The agreement is subject exclusively to German law, in particular the Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch (BGB). Deviating conditions of the guest are only applicable if they have been explicitly confirmed in writing by Bed & Breakfast Ravelin.
§2 Conclusion of Contract
The contract comes into effect through confirmation of the reservation by email from Bed & Breakfast Ravelin. The main guest is liable for all obligations arising from the agreement, also on behalf of the guests he has registered.
§3 Services and Prices
Bed & Breakfast Ravelin makes the reserved room available for the agreed stay. The listed prices include the applicable VAT (Umsatzsteuer) and any local charges, unless otherwise stated.
The room prices do not include breakfast, dinner, BBQ, electric vehicle charging, or minibar, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Breakfast, dinner, and BBQ are only available upon prior reservation due to procurement and preparation. Extra services will be billed separately if applicable.
§3.1 Meal take-away per person
Breakfast, dinner, and BBQ are only offered and charged per person.
It is not permitted to share meals between multiple people, regardless of age. Each guest using breakfast, dinner, or BBQ must reserve separately and pay the applicable rate.
If it is established that multiple people use one reserved meal, Bed & Breakfast Ravelin is entitled to charge the full regular rate for each additional person.
This provision applies to both adults and children.
§4 Payment
Bed & Breakfast Ravelin is entitled to demand a reasonable advance payment. The remaining amount must be paid in full upon arrival, unless otherwise agreed.
In the event of late payment, Bed & Breakfast Ravelin is entitled to charge statutory interest in accordance with §288 BGB.
§5 Cancellation by the Guest
No statutory right of withdrawal exists for agreements on accommodation services (§312g (2) no. 9 BGB).
The guest can cancel the agreement in writing before the start of the stay. In the event of cancellation, the agreed accommodation price remains due in accordance with §537 BGB. Saved costs and any income from re-letting are not deducted.
For simplification, the following flat-rate regulation applies:
Up to 7 days before arrival: free of charge
Less than 7 days before arrival or No-Show: 100% of the accommodation price
§6 Cancellation by Bed & Breakfast Ravelin
Bed & Breakfast Ravelin is entitled to terminate the agreement if:
- Force majeure or circumstances beyond its control make performance impossible;
- The guest provides misleading or incorrect information;
- The stay poses a threat to public order, safety, or reputation.
In the event of justified termination, there is no right to compensation for the guest.
§7 Arrival and Departure
Check-in is possible between 15:00 and 21:00, unless otherwise agreed.
Checkout must be done by 11:00.
§8 Use of the Room
The room may only be used for accommodation purposes. Subletting or use by unregistered persons is not permitted. Smoking is not allowed in rooms and common areas.
The guest is liable for damage caused by himself or his fellow guests in accordance with §280 BGB.
§9 Liability of Bed & Breakfast Ravelin
Bed & Breakfast Ravelin is unlimitedly liable for intent and gross negligence. In the case of slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage.
The statutory liability for brought items conform §701 BGB remains unaffected.
Liability for indirect damage or consequential damage is excluded, unless otherwise provided by law.
§10 Force Majeure
In the event of force majeure, such as natural disasters, fire, pandemics, or government measures, Bed & Breakfast Ravelin is entitled to terminate the agreement without being liable for damages.
§11 Data Protection
Personal data are processed in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (AVG / DSGVO) and applicable German data protection legislation.
§12 Final Provisions
If individual provisions are entirely or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected (§306 BGB).
Insofar as permitted by law, the competent court at the location of Bed & Breakfast Ravelin's establishment has jurisdiction.
