Why are we asking for this information?
According to German law (§ 29 of the Bundesmeldegesetz), overnight guests without German nationality are subject to a special registration requirement. This requires a registration form. This form is called a Meldeschein in German. By filling in the data online in advance, you save time upon arrival.
On January 1, 2025, this special reporting requirement for guests with German nationality was abolished. The existing obligation remains in place for guests without German nationality. Do all persons in your travel party have German nationality? Then you only need to confirm this in our form. In other cases, the form will ask for the necessary registration data.
This is how it works, step by step
Step 1: Open your personal link.
In the case of a direct booking, this link is included in our booking confirmation. You can complete the form on your phone, tablet, or computer. You do not need to create an account.
Step 2: Check the entered data.
Check the details of the person who made the reservation. Indicate whether this person is staying with us themselves.
Step 3: Fill in the missing information.
Answer the question about the nationality of your travel companions. Then fill in the information requested on the form. You do not need to upload a photo or scan of an identity document.
Step 4: Submit the form.
Use only the personal link from your own confirmation email. Do not share this link with others.
What happens upon arrival?
Upon arrival, we will personally welcome you. If a registration form is mandatory for you, we will check your valid identity document. Afterwards, you will sign the form. Therefore, bring a valid passport or other recognized identity document with you. Filling in the form online is a preparation. It does not replace the check and signature upon arrival.
